They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And let’s face it, as much as we like to say we don’t judge people based on how they look, we do.
So what is sexy? Can you define it in so many words? Do you know it when you see it? A lot of different things can make a person sexy. Their actual physical appearance, their clothes, attitude. Sometimes it’s just a name, or their accent. Intelligence can be very sexy. So can strength when it’s not being misused.
In our modern age the media likes to tell us what we are supposed to think is sexy. Now admittedly, the nation I call home does have issues with weight. But nobody has gotten it right in a long long time. Back when choosing a mate made a difference on how well fed you were, you wanted someone who looked well fed and strong enough to keep you fed, too.
Me and my gym trainer are the only ones who know the number on my own scale. The number itself is not as important as the state of my health and mental health. Not all skinny people are happy. Neither are all pretty people. And not all fat people are jolly.
As you start your week, take a look in the mirror and find something you truly love about yourself. Celebrate it. Appreciate it. Then go out and do the same for someone else. What you project is what you get back from other people. Like ripples on a pond. Sexy is as sexy does…
